The
Sirius
Universal Dock and Play Home Kit SUPH1 comes with everything you
need to play your Sportster 3, Sportster 4, Starmate 3, Starmate 4,
and Stratus satellite radio receiver through your home stereo
speakers. The kit is designed around a handy mounting cradle, which
holds your receiver in a single easy-to-access location.
Just slide your Sirius receiver into the cradle
and rest it on a tabletop, desk, bookshelf, or entertainment center.
Once the receiver is mounted, users have two listening options: they
can rely on the receiver's built-in FM transmitter, or they can run
the included RCA audio cable between the cradle's audio output and
the stereo. The latter option delivers a better overall sound, but is
slightly more cumbersome.
The bundled antenna, meanwhile, is fully
weatherproof, so you can install it indoors or outdoors depending on
where the satellite signal is strongest. Finally, the Sirius
Universal Dock
and Play Home Kit comes with an AC adapter that powers your
Sirius receiver and a spacer for the docking station (required for
the non- Sportster models).
